How to Plan for Job Search Success

The first question you might be asking is "How can one PLAN for job search success?" The answer is simple...you either plan your job search efforts, or you will be tossed about by other people's plans.

Define your career goal(s) before doing anything else. Once you have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve, you can effectively tailor all of your efforts in that direction. Your resume, cover letter and employment contacts will target your career aspirations.

Without a goal, you will be wandering aimlessly and possibly end up working at a job that doesn't suit your true desires. It is awful to be stuck in an environment or in a position that will not lead you to where you want to go.
